**About the role**
The Animal Attendant provides operational support to the educational programs within the - Veterinary and Applied Science Centre Business Unit.

To be successful you will need:

- Ability to organise information, equipment and learning materials with an animal facility focus to meet the demands of clients and colleagues.
- Must be physically able to perform the manual handling tasks required of this position.
- Understand and follow workplace safety initiatives, identify hazards and contribute to a safe working environment specific to an animal husbandry facility.
- Experience in the direction and supervision of small groups in an animal husbandry environment.
- Availability for out-of-hours and weekend work.
- Experience with laboratory animals, domestic animals, native fauna species or livestock is an advantage.
- Current driver's licence
- Post-secondary qualification in the animal sciences areas.
