Chandler Macleod is looking for and experienced Business Improvement Specialist to join our client a well-known and respected brand within the mining industry. The BI Specialist is responsible for providing high quality support to line management by facilitating the development, coordination and implementation of business improvement strategies utilising Company Business System methods at the department level.

**Key Responsibilities may include**:

- Assist in developing business improvement strategy and drive the implementation to attain specific business improvement objectives consistent with the location’s business strategy
- Provide expert advice, coaching and problem solving expertise to the locations management teams on the deployment and implementation principles to the business.
- Carry out regular system audits with the department manager and support personnel to determine the health of systems and facilitate the development of actions to address any issues.
- Lead business improvement and problem solving activities at the department level and with individual teams and team leaders.
- Provide strategic input and advice to the department management team and their reporting staff on how to effectively manage and improve their operations using company methodology and principles.
- Participate in regular CORE standard audits across the location and support the routine completion of actions required to sustain the standards.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree or similar is desirable
- 3-5 years of experience with Mining/Mineral refining or similar industry, primarily in the manufacturing / line area.
- Demonstrated experience developing Business Improvement strategies and deploying these principle to the business
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and influence business relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management skills, capacity to multi-task and work autonomously with little direct supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex issues
- Proven ability to identify and manage risks to business policies and procedures
