Credit Restructuring has a global responsibility for and manages all of Westpac Commercial & Business Banks (C&BB) sub-standard and impaired assets. This includes all Westpac brands. Credit restructuring also actively assists in the management of “watch-list” exposures. Credit restructuring seeks to minimise any potential credit related losses and maximise returns through actively and fairly managing the customer relationship.

The purpose of the Account Manager, Agri role is to assist in the management a portfolio of sub-standard and impaired Agri and regional assets which have been identified as below average credit risk.

Major Accountabilities of the role:

- Direct engagement with customers and their advisors
- Credit Risk personnel and systems to ensure account management, MIS and the risk profile of the customers in the portfolio is current and accurate at all times
- The preparation of high-quality reports (mainly credit submissions and briefing papers) to the Head of Credit Restructuring, Group credit executives and the relevant board committees.
- Approves credit decisions and exercise expense delegations within delegated authorities
- External advisors such as insolvency firms and lawyers, to develop and recommend credit risk management strategies for each customer in the portfolio, based on credit analysis of the customer and the legal review Westpac’s documentation and security, including recommendations surrounding provisioning
- Supporting, coaching and mentoring credit analysts in credit restructuring.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in the role you will need:

- Sound experience in corporate credit assessment and extensive direct customer engagement
- Experience in financial accounts and (basic) analysis and financial modelling
- 3 years experience working in Agribusiness as a practitioner, Agribusiness manager or equivalent
- Experience working with people in hardship, having a strong focus on empathy and customer service and the sensitives surrounding Agribusiness
- Good working knowledge of loan and transactional products, loan structures, documentation and security.
- Sound grasp of the capital impact of stresses/impaired exposures
