**Disability** Support Workers Needed

We are looking for disability support workers close to Preston or Reservoir with prior experience of working with dementia clients, who strive to make a difference within the disability industry. To be successful in their role you need to be compassionate, creative and fun-loving. You should be able to see the person, not the disability. You should be able to adapt yourself every day and for every shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Client requires 24/7 care and support workers are required to provide support during this period.
- Full assistance for completion of domestic tasks including, **meal preparation, laundry, and heavy cleaning tasks
- Prompting the client to complete light cleaning tasks or light laundry tasks.**:

- Requires complete assistance with **toileting, showering, and personal care**.
- Supervision of all personal care tasks, including verbal prompting to complete all personal and domestic ADL’s.
- Daily access to allied health support including OT, Psychology and Social work.
- Client requires assistance with medication.
- Speaks Lebanese Arabic - to facilitate client’s communication requirement. (preferred but not essential)

This position requires minimum of Cert 4 in Disability/ Cert 3 in community services or Individual Support and you must provide PI/PL Insurance Cover.

License/Certification/Qualifications

Essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Australian driver's license
- First Aid & CPR (Regularly updated before expiry)
- National Police Check (Completed within the last 12 months and updated every 3 years)
- Cert III or IV in Disability Support
- Work Authorisation in Australia
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Medication Assistance Certificate
- COVID-19 Vaccinated
- Infection Prevention and Control Cert (Can assist in obtaining one if required)

Desirable
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Working with Children Check (preferred)

**Salary**: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour
