**The Department**
The Corporate Affairs Division provides support to SBS through a range of internal and external stakeholder engagement, including government and regulatory affairs; community engagement and outreach; codes of practice advice; corporate communications advice and management; and secretariat support to the SBS Board.
**The Role**
As a member of the Engagement & CSR team, the Education Lead is a crucial role in delivering against SBS’s strategy. The role is part of a busy team working on organisational projects that serve SBS’s diverse audiences and stakeholders, and duties include:

- Developing curriculum-aligned learning materials to be published on SBS's dedicated website for teachers, SBS Learn.
- Developing lesson plans, units of work and programming suggestions aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
- Ensuring SBS’s educational outreach practices adhere to current standards and practices, including seeking accreditation and recognition for projects where applicable.
- Assist with developing educational outreach for communities and audiences outside of formal educational settings.
- Guided by the Outreach Manager, working collaboratively with external project partners and suppliers.
- Assisting with developing SBS Learn strategic direction guided by educational policies and best practices.

This requires the Education Lead to work across several areas of SBS to oversee effective, efficient, accurate and timely execution of educational materials that are meaningful to communities in Australia and of strong reputational significance to SBS.
**About you**:

- Experience in teaching and/or related qualification with strong working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
- Care deeply about Australian communities and celebrating cultural diversity.
- Can demonstrate the ability to develop learning materials to a rigorous standard, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, execute on thorough project plans, show initiative, and undertake thoughtful collaborations with external suppliers and project partners.
- Demonstrate excellence in authoring educational materials end-to-end.
- Be curious, enjoy leading the way and work with pace and precision even when juggling multiple priorities.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite; experience using content management systems and online publishing desirable but not essential.
- Highly proficient communication, curriculum development and collaboration skills are imperative as is the desire to serve SBS’s charter communities. Connection to community or experience working with diverse Australian communities is beneficial
