Midweight Designer

Escalate your creative design career with an awarded, highly respected agency in the Brand & Digital space, The Traffic Melbourne team is expanding and we are now looking for a mid-weight designer who can support the senior team and be mentored for future growth.

You’ll work closely with highly talented senior creatives, designing for brand, print, digital and social campaigns. It’s a tight-knit team so you’ll work closely with Account Service, Strategy and Digital specialists so your ability to manage stakeholders and form relationships quickly is an important aspect of the role.

Importantly you are motivated, talented and keen to learn and build your skills in an agency environment working on a portfolio of high-profile, diverse, exciting brands.

**As a must, the successful applicant will have**:

- At least three years’ experience working on design projects independently and within a team (agency environment)
- Experience working in an Account Service style agency working directly with Account Managers on successfully delivering projects for our clients
- Experience in taking briefs and providing design rationale to clients
- A recent portfolio of high-quality brand design and execution projects, across digital and traditional media
- A solid understanding of designing for digital projects, primarily web
- Expertise in conceptualising and executing digital and social campaigns
- A broad understanding of designing for print
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively without high levels of guidance

**The skills you’ll need**:

- Experience and knowledge of Figma (Design and prototyping)
- Adobe Creative Cloud skills are required specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability in motion and animation asset creation
- Knowledge of digital and offset printing methods.
- BA or equivalent in graphic design.
- Solid range of design and software skills.
- Strong typographic skills and sensitivity.
- Ability to clearly explain and present design work.
- Capability of juggling multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and a sense of humour.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
