**About the role**:In this role you will**:

- Prepare land use, place naming reports, and other documents, including development proposals for the Office of the Coordinator General.
- Create regular work plans, report on performance against KPIs, and ensure deadlines are met through effective planning.
- Provide advice and written correspondence (reports, submissions, notes, presentations) on planning, development, and place naming to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain business relationships, contribute to policy development, and attend forums to identify better outcomes for state interests.
- Implement project priorities, recommend new initiatives, and improve productivity to deliver efficient and effective outcomes.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex planning and development issues, providing expert advice and using GIS and other information systems.

**What we're looking for**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with knowledge of land use planning, naming of places, and the Queensland Planning Framework.
- Degree qualification in Land/Regional/Urban Planning, Environment/Natural Resource Planning or Environmental Management, or equivalent academic qualifications.
- Current C class driver's licence is essential.
- Travel away from the centre may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
