**UI/UX Designer**

Join an Australian Federal Government Department as a UI/UX Designer to help improve the experience for users of the systems built and supported by the branch. Work with a multidisciplinary team to create end to end, robust designs.
- 12 Month Day Rate Contract with possible 12 month extension
- Role based anywhere in Australian (ACT or Queensland preferred.
- Hybrid role

**About the Role**:

- Tackle ambiguous problems from start to finish using robust design processes
- Ideate, Iterate and Refine throughout the design process by creating user journeys, process maps, wireframes and prototypes
- Design interfaces for public-facing systems and services
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Create Design collateral and front-end developments
- Advocate for user friendly designs and key milestones to peers and exec level stakeholders
- Take on and incorporate user feedback and research in the design and delivery of interfaces

**About you**:

- Minimum 1 year commercial experience as a UI/UX Designer
- Experience with Adobe XD or Figma
- Australian Citizen with Baseline Security Clearance
- Experience conducting testing of prototypes with users and capturing insights and feedback
- Tertiary qualification in Design, Interaction Design, Human centered design or similar
- Understanding of accessible design principles and designing to meet WCAG guidelines including AA compliance
- Designing information architecture and arranging functionality and content into logical and intuitive structures
- Experience with agile software and project delivery
