An exciting opportunity exists for a Customer Service Officer at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon.
**The role**
You will provide exemplary and personable customer service ensuring a professional image at the foyer/reception/box office to all patrons and visitors to the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre.
As Customer Service Officer, you will manage all customer requests and queries in an efficient and timely manner. You will provide administrative support to the Creative Arts Team and allocate tasks to the Front of House team. This position is responsible for the GPAC Box Office. You will also assist visitors at the Visitor Information Centre which is located at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre.
The successful applicants will be willing to work on a rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Demonstrated commitment towards providing a high level of customer service within a reception and retail area, preferably within a creative arts environment.
- Demonstrated math skills for the accurate handling of money, issuing receipts, and balancing transactions combined with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage own time, to meet set objectives and to follow relevant policies and procedures.
- Experience in the Windows suite of products and the capacity to learn to work with Council’s chosen ticketing, point-of-sale, and venue management software.
- A demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative manner as a part of a team.
- Willingness to work across creative arts venues via a rotating roster, including weekends.
All successful applicants are required to undergo a Police Check and hold a valid employee Working with Children Check.
