**How will I help?**

Join the Operational Risk Team for Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) as a 2 nd Line Operational Risk Executive Manager, specialising in Global Transactional Services (GTS) and WIB Digital Transformation.

This role exists to provide 2 nd line risk oversight and advice over the digital and data business activities in Westpac One Core and Westpac One Programs to ensure the appropriate risk identification, documentation, and management of risks by the business. This will be in accordance with Operational Risk Management Framework and other polices under the Risk Management Framework including management of Prudential Standards.

The scope of the role focuses specially on digital and data risks arising through business activity including product development and transformation initiatives (specifically WIB’s digital transformation strategy). A key focus will be on risks arising through change delivered by the program through incremental releases, working with business, and stakeholders for assessing impacts and reviewing controls and mitigations.

Core responsibilities:

- To provide the businesses with specialist, outcome-focused risk and control oversight and advice that ensures complete and accurate risk and issue capture, optimises risk-reward balance and contributes to the attainment of business strategy and objectives.
- To provide independent Line 2 oversight of the effectiveness of the business’ operational risk management practices.
- To lead thematic analysis across risks, providing specialist guidance from these reviews.
- To provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment.To challenge and oversight business transformation initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure the risks delivered through change are adequately controlled.

**What do I need?**
- 7+ years of operational risk in change advisory experience in any WIB business, or in another financial services organisation; or
- 9+ years of operational risk experience with Investment Banking exposure from another financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of investment banking activity and associated processes.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing senior business leadership teams, strategic thinking, and prioritisationRelevant industry qualifications.
