Our Therapeutic Services team provide a range of support services for children or young people and their non-offending family members who have been impacted by child sexual abuse.
As our Practice Supervisor, you will use your previous experience in a clinical setting to provide clinical supervision, debriefing, self-care and professional development for our teams across Therapeutic & Support Services, Beyond Brave, Turning Corners, and The Courage Project.
Reporting to our Director of Therapeutic & Support Services, the role is based in Loganholme (with flexibility to work some days from home) and is a full-time permanent position. Regular regional travel is also required.
**A day in this role may include**:
- Providing clinical supervision and support to the Therapeutic Services team
- Travel to picturesque Mackay to support the Courage Project team
- Coordinating monthly counselor day meetings and associated professional development
- Development of the Bravehearts Clinical Framework for counselling and supervision
- Work closely with the Bravehearts Research team in the delivery of internal and external research projects.
**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology and registration with a governing body of profession (or eligibility to apply) is essential.
- Qualifications as a Clinical Practice Supervisor (or desire to complete STAP training funded by Bravehearts)
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number and Mental Health Accreditation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in supporting and counselling clients in a clinical setting who have been impacted by, or at risk of being impacted by child sexual abuse.
- Experience providing trauma counselling to young people who have been harmed through harmful sexual behaviour, and some experience working with young people who have or are at risk of engaging in harmful sexual behaviour (preferred)
- The ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with a range of services as relevant to the
- service location.
- Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number and Mental Health Accreditation.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Ability and willingness to abide by the Bravehearts Code of Conduct.
- Principles of social justice will underpin the appointee’s practice.
- Understanding of working within a mandatory reporting practice.
