These research areas are dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through research excellence and innovation. Our outputs are highly cited - 50% more than the world average - and we work in close partnership with leading health services across WA, Australia and internationally.
We are now seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader to take on the role of Associate Dean, Research. This senior leadership position plays a critical role in shaping the School’s research strategy, mentoring and supporting emerging researchers, and driving innovation in practice-oriented research.
**As the Associate Dean, Research, you will**:
Provide academic leadership to strengthen research capability and output across the School;
Champion interdisciplinary and collaborative research, both internally and with our extensive extern partners;
Foster a supportive environment for early and mid-career academics to thrive;
Lead initiatives that align with the School’s commitment to impactful, community-driven research; and
Contribute to the School’s senior leadership team and strategic planning.

Appointment Information
The successful applicant will be appointed to a full-time, ongoing position as Professor of Nursing or Midwifery with salary of $213,161 (ALEVE) plus 17% University superannuation. Appointment to the role of Associate Dean, Research is for a three-year term.
Additional Benefits Include
Associate Dean Allowance of $21,316.

Qualifications and Experience
**The successful applicant**:
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia;
Will have completed a PhD;
Will have completed qualifications in education and/or can demonstrate educational experience within a tertiary or clinical practice setting;
Will have a sustained track record of research related activities within a tertiary education or clinical practice setting; and
Will demonstrate a sound professional and academic track record in nursing or midwifery.
