
Food Incident Response and Surveillance Team

Your key responsibilities and duties
- Conduct monitoring, surveillance and investigation activities in accordance with Safe Food policy and procedures.
- Participate in and facilitate surveillance, investigation and monitoring activities in the field.
- Prepare reports for management on findings from investigations and evaluations of food safety compliance and investigation of suspected foodborne illness linked to primary products regulated by Safe Food.
- Provide technical support and training required to achieve outcomes in Safe Food's strategic priorities and operational objectives.
- Assist with evaluation of emerging risks and provide advice on the potential impact of these risks.
- Provide advice to clients and stakeholders about the implementation of food safety controls, promote the objectives of food safety regulation.
- Provide technical input to improve reporting and information systems used by Safe Food to achieve regulatory outcomes.
- Train staff in the delivery of regulatory services and as required to enhance the value of Safe Food's contribution to the integrity of the food supply chain.
