Where Mortgage Choice fits in

In July 2021, Mortgage Choice entered a new era after being acquired by REA Group. REA is creating a leading mortgage broking business at scale that will support more Australians with their home ownership aspirations. This is an exciting time of growth for Mortgage Choice, but something that remains the same is that our qualified mortgage brokers continue to provide first class customer service and advice to help our customers take control of their finances.

What the role is all about:
The Commissions Specialist supports across Mortgage Choice & Smartline’s network of franchisees to manage commission related queries, payments, and administrative support. In this role, you can expect to support across a range of administrative and reporting activities including:
- Receiving and processing high volume commission reports- Reconciling, validating & matching information on all commissions received and paid- Updating loan information- Receiving and responding to commission related enquiries in a timely and professional manner- Tracking, entering and reporting on all charges and reimbursements- Liaising with lenders and franchisees regarding commission enquiries- Managing incoming / outgoing calls and enquiries- Reviewing and implementing changing commission structures- Working to an regular reporting rhythm and monthly deadlines- Reconciling bank deposits with lender reports- Working closely with technology teams to resolve system errors and issues- Providing support to the Commissions Manager, including involvement in Projects and ad-hoc deliverables

What we’re looking for:
- Previous administrative/commissions experience- Intermediate data entry and reporting skills (Excel), with a good eye for numbers- Excellent communication and customer service skills- A great team player, you’re happy to put up your hand to help the team in busy times- You’ll bring a positive outlook and proactive approach to the role- Experience in commissions administration is preferred, but not essential- Prior experience using Zendesk would be an added bonus for this role
