Key General Manager position within large Agribusiness

**The Company**
This organisation is a leading Australian manufacturer with a national presence, who are highly regarded in their industry. With continued capital investment, they have undergone significant growth across a number of their sites and are seeking an experienced General Manager to continue to drive growth through their largest regional area.
**The Role**
This is a business critical role, reporting to the COO, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Northern Victorian Region, providing leadership, mentoring and coaching to all staff reporting into the position.
- Manage the operational performance of the Region and work with the COO and other parts of the business to identify opportunities, develop business strategies and plans, and report on performance.
- Profit and loss management, achieving key financial targets.
- Manage and deliver capex programs to improve site standards and efficiency.
- Drive KPI reporting within the region to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with major customers, fostering strong customer engagement, growing sales volumes through new and existing clients.
- Lead sales and marketing activities to drive growth in line with business objectives and plans. The role is responsible for the margin development of the Region’s key customer base as well as exploring future opportunities through alternative sales channels.
- Ensuring all quality, safety and environment controls and programs are conducted in a manner in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies.
**Your Background**
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Significant leadership experience within Operations and/or Supply chain within a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food or agricultural industries.
- Commercially astute, you must be able to understand financial reports, manage a budget and make commercial decisions.
- Must display teamwork and regularly collaborate with sales and manufacturing staff and others.
- Strong communication, coaching, consultation and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including senior executive level employees as well as line management and operators.
- Ability to liaise with various regulatory bodies and customer to deliver on opportunities.
