**The Role**

In this mining-related role as Electrical Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure safety standards are rigorously upheld in all mining areas, providing a secure working environment for all mining personnel. You will be in charge of coordinating electrical construction activities and addressing any interface issues that may arise, thereby ensuring that mining projects progress according to schedule and budget. Your role will involve overseeing electrical statutory compliance, including site isolations and permitting, specifically in the context of mining operations.

As the Electrical Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with contractors to ensure that all construction work aligns with mining project engineering and adheres to quality system requirements. Developing comprehensive quality checklists for compliance with contract specifications will be a crucial aspect of your duties.

Additionally, you will assess contractors' work efforts, evaluate their ability to adhere to schedules and budgets, and motivate them to prioritize safety values within the mining environment. Your role will require accurate and meticulous reporting; therefore, you will compile daily force and equipment reports, as well as weekly and monthly progress reports related to mining operations. Upholding a commitment to health, safety, and environmental protocols is of utmost importance, ensuring effective implementation of mining-specific systems and procedures on the site.

**About You**:

- 5-20 years of experience in the electrical field, including a minimum of 3-5 years working on mining processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems.
- Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Frontline Management Qualifications.
- Current Electrical Licence.
- High Voltage Switching Qualification, specifically related to mining electrical systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic drawings and fault-find control circuits, particularly in mining equipment and machinery.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and planning skills tailored for mining operations.
- Advanced financial skills with experience in reviewing and managing budgets, including cash flow management in the mining industry.
- Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skills relevant to mining projects.
- A strong focus on continuous improvement within the mining environment.
- High levels of attention to detail, specifically regarding safety measures in mining operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment within the mining sector.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental management systems, specifically in the mining industry.
