Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

This role is based at our Kingston Centre campus, and mainly working within the Kingston wards:
**Shifts available**
- ** South 6**

**Wednesday - Saturday** **14.30 - 19.30**
- ** South 2 and 5**

**Sunday 15.30 - 20.00**(Total for Both: 49 hours per fortnight)
- ** Sandwich Room**

**Tuesday** **06.30 - 13.00** **(12 hours per fortnight)

**A Day in the Life**:
The Food Services Assistant is responsible for duties assigned in the preparation, regeneration, plating, delivery and collection of meals throughout the day.

Responsibilities include; (but not limited to)
- Dish washing and delivering Burlodge trolleys
- Washing and sanitising kitchen area, items and equipment
- Cleaning patient trays
- Accurately assembling tray supplies and food on tray line
- Regeneration of meals for patients, residents and functions as required
- Deliver, distribute and collect all patient / resident food requirements and meal trays according to specific clinical requirements
- Strip, sort, sanitise and clean all trays, cutlery and utensils
- Completing all food safety documentation in a timely manner

- Excellent customer service skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health.
- A proactive approach and team player
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete while working alone or as part of a cohesive team.
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service from a health care or hospitality environment

**What You Need**:

- Current Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1
- Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA001) - Follow basic food safety practises
- Comprehensive understanding of diet codes, texture modified foods and fluids, food allergies and intolerances
- Established knowledge of Monash Health processes and procedures
- Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Current Victorian drivers licence _(desirable)_
