**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a well-organised Food Service Assistant to join our brand-new kitchen team at our Scape Eats Melbourne CBD location. Reporting to our Food & Beverage Manager, the Food Service Assistant will be responsible for delivering full-service catering and provide customers with an exceptional, world class food and dining experience.
- Ensuring customer expectations are exceeded
- Liaising with kitchen staff when delivering prepared food to patrons
- Keeping all service area clean, tidy and well-prepared
- Explaining menu content to customers and assist those with special dietary needs or preferences
- Responding to customers’ requests promptly and efficiently
- Maintaining standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
- Greeting and welcoming all customers with an attentive and personal service
- Ensuring smooth handover is completed before the end of each shifts to the relevant team member(s)
- Building rapport and connections with our customers to ensure exceptional customer service
- Sharing feedback provided by the customers to the management

**WHO’S THE IDEAL CANDIDATE?**

We are seeking a high performing Food Service Assistant who enjoys building strong relationships. You will have previous experience in food and beverage roles in bar or restaurant setting.

In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Experience in Catering or as food service assistant
- Demonstrate experience in time management and possess the ability to multitask
- Excellent presentation and customer service skills
- Strong awareness of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards
- Generally, a people person who is able to engage with customers and employees and work in a collaborative environment
- Good communication skills
- Confidence in liaising with various internal and external parties
