Cafe Manager

_The Princeton Group is expanding We are looking for an experienced and motivated full-time Cafe Manager to join our busy Clayton Monash venue._

**_Working within the university has great perks: _**
- Operation Hours - Monday to Wednesday 8-5pm
- Operation Hours - Thursday to Friday 8-6pm
- Majority of the main public holidays off
- Summer off (Christmas to mid-January)

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and self-driven individual to manage a Cafe located in the middle of Monash University, Clayton Campus.

**The successful applicant for this role will have the following qualities**:

- A passion for all things food and beverage
- 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
- Function or catering experience
- Sound knowledge of restaurant operations
- Strong management skills and the ability to guide all front-of-house staff
- Strong focus on exceeding customer expectations
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be flexible to work evening events (latest 10 pm finish)

**The role will include the following responsibilities**:

- The facilitation of smooth and well-managed service periods with the aim of delivering a memorable dining experience
- Rostering - balancing staffing needs during service and non-service periods against a range of full-time, part-time and casual staff
- Training and mentoring all front-of-house staff
- Management of wage and beverage costs within set budgets
- Financial responsibility, including cash handling, balancing, and wage forecasting

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
