The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Registrars (Principal House Officers - Medical) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assessing patients, determining and instigating appropriate investigations
- Establish management plan for patients in consultation with the consultant
- Where appropriate, ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of care
- Communicate assessment findings, proposed management plans to patients and carers
- Gather input from appropriate multidisciplinary team for patient's ongoing clinical care

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Queensland
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- This position is required to participate in after hours rosters, as required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (nine positions, 12 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $120 968 - $140 256 per annum

About Us
The Medical Registrar Unit supports and oversee trainee Registrars and Principal House Officers with their administrative and educational needs across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
This position is suitable for a postgraduate who has completed Year 3 or further (PGY3+) and will be based at or rotate across Southport, Robina, Logan and Cleveland.
