**The Role**

**As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in direct delivery of patient care
- Assisting the Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team
- Provide patient centred care

**What you'll need to succeed**

Essential Qualities:

- **Certificate III (from an approved training provider) in Health Services Assistance
- Acute Care or 2**nd** year undergraduates studying RN**:

- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work and use initiative
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is desirable
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Genuine willingness to help others
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to nursing
- Flexibility with shift availability: range of shifts available including 4/6/7.5hour shifts, day/evening/nights
