The Role
As a member of the Workplace Relations and Safety team and responsible for maintaining and supporting the unit and the wider department with the safety systems managed by the Workplace Relations and Safety team. The aim of the role is to provide critical support in the administration and maintenance of our safety systems (Safety Incident Management System, SIMS). This work is facilitated through the development and management of fit for purpose OHS Management Systems and solutions and advice to comply with relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guidelines, departmental policies, and procedures
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting in the design of dashboards and operational reports including in depth safety data analysis.
- Maintaining and reviewing document control and electronic system information.
- Administer the cross-function delivery and enhancement of SIMS.

The Team
The position of Safety Systems Advisor forms a part of the People and Culture Branch within the Corporate Services Group.
Within People and Culture, this position forms part of the multi-disciplinary Workplace Relations and Safety (WRS) team. WRS is a strategic and tactical operational function, supporting the achievement of the department's objectives by providing excellent service and trusted advice. It has a clear focus on adding value to the department by supporting the Executive Board to drive organisational culture through a range of strategies and initiatives.
About You
- Demonstrated success, skills and experience in the monitoring, review and updating of complex software systems.
- Proven experience using developed analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proven experience in effective stakeholder management.
