**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Program Manager, Climate Change to be part of our Major Programs and Regions Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Program Manager, Climate Change within Major Programs and Regions provides leadership and direction to ensure strategic deliverables of adaptation and emissions reduction are delivered, and for fostering a forward-thinking culture by identifying and delivering relevant climate change program opportunities to support agrifood and wine industries.

The primary purpose of the role is to identify and develop innovative approaches to attract programs for PIRSA that will support climate adaptation and mitigation. Including the delivery of the agency’s business plan, which requires this role to ensure that the Climate Change Program aligns to the Department’s Strategic Plan and leverage investment and co-investment to achieve aims for sustainable economic development.

As well as supporting the General Manager, Major Programs to drive the overall business strategy and service delivery outcomes, this position will develop and build partnerships across primary industries sectors and State, Local and Federal Governments, identifying opportunities that support and deliver on PIRSA’s strategic direction, growing the economic contribution of primary industries and agribusiness across regional communities and industry sectors whilst reducing carbon emissions. This role is expected to work closely with all divisions across PIRSA to ensure the best outcomes for the State and industry.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Opportunity up to December 2025.
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

**Remuneration**

ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max per annum, plus superannuation
