**About the role**:
We are currently recruiting for Electrical Testers to join an autonomous and high-performing maintenance team to service our Northwest Maintenance Contract. You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and fault response of equipment in the field.
This primary focus of this role is to undertake work including a variety of calibration, diagnostic testing & measurement services during construction, operation and maintenance to electrical protection and control equipment and electrical plant on the AusNet Transmission Electricity Network, which include Terminal and Zone substations and power distribution infrastructure.
The role has coverage across Victoria and the incumbents will be required to travel within the state to other AusNet sites, overnight stay will be required, and you will need to be open to working on-call.
About the role:
- Provide diagnostic testing and maintenance services on a wide variety of electrical protection and control relays & equipment
- Coordinate testing activities with internal & external customers
- Prepare work records and reports as required, including input into databases and work hours/daily work records
- Comply with flexible work practices to meet system needs-including multi-skilling
- Ensure that they maintain all the required training and authorizations in date at all times
- Perform the role of Team Leader when required in the Team Leaders absence
- Receive and provide on the job training as required
- Will be required to undertake availability duties
- Support the development of other team members, including trainees
**About you**:
- Advanced Diploma of ESI - Power systems or equivalent qualification
- Active Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong technical knowledge and experience working across power systems related secondary equipment
- Experience in analysing and solving technical information, including fault finding in relation to both the maintenance and commissioning of secondary systems
- Self-motivated and ability to work alone
- Ability to act with decisiveness to ensure network security and public safety
- Ability to compare information from different sources to draw conclusions, and select an appropriate course of action
- Ability and initiative to identify the critical resources necessary to achieve desired objectives
