**Remuneration**: $37.05 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's
**THE ROLE**:
Kick-start your pharmacy career with Calvary Mater Newcastle. As a pre-registration pharmacy, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands on experience whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in the assistance of ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications, providing medication counselling as well as gaining hands on clinical experience in a hospital setting.
**DUTIES**:
Ensure that registered pharmacists check all dispensed medications before leaving the pharmacy.
Assist ward pharmacists with the provision of ward pharmacy services including participation in rounds and dispensing of non-imprest items on an individual patient basis (seven-day supply) under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Participates in Physicians’ ward rounds on designated wards.
Assists with the dispensing of inpatient, outpatient, discharge, Emergency and staff prescriptions in accordance with the policies of the department and the hospital and under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Ensures that all prescriptions are written in accordance with legal requirements.
Assists with the provision of medication counselling to patients/carers and staff.
Assists with the supply of ward requisitions.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Obtain a Bachelor of Pharmacy/Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent) by commencement of employment.
Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Pharmacist prior to commencing employment.
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
