Our Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) team are the internal audit function for the Group. Their primary purpose is to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of the Groups risk management, controls and governance processes.
Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the largest business in CBA, delivering a seamless banking experience to more than 10 million personal and small business customers, helping them at all stages of their lives - whether it’s opening their first account, saving for a wedding, buying their first home, or planning for their retirement. The RBS business portfolio include Home Buying, Everyday Banking, Consumer Finance, Customer Service Direct, Customer Service Network, Customer Service Lending, Wealth & Private, and Customer Engagement & Digital.

- Home Buying & Mortgage Brokers
- Customer Service Lending - Mortgages
- Consumer Finance (e.g. Credit Cards and Personal Loans)
- Everyday Banking - Transaction, Saving and Deposit accounts
- Digital Banking
- Call Centres, Digital Messaging and Collections

GA&A has increasingly embedded digital assurance into audit activities, injecting Artificial Intelligence (AI) into routine control testing and using digital tools to improve the overall experience for employees. The next phase of our transformation is enabling continuous, data driven assurance across the 3LoA.
**Do work that matters**
This role is to support the Senior Audit Manager and Executive Manager in delivering quality audits.
The GA&A RBS team adds value to the Group by:
- Delivering a professional and highly valued audit service to the business and Group’s Audit & Risk Committees
- Providing objective assurance on risk management to key customers (e.g. Group Executives and their leadership teams) to secure the financial wellbeing of the Bank’s customers
- Identifying issues and commercial insights as part of high-quality audit reports, which improve customers banking experience.Developing and implementing global best technologies (data, analytics and AI) in its assurance delivery, increasing efficiencies.
**We’re interested in hearing from people who will aspire to**
- In line with CBA Internal Audit Methodology build, review and deliver effective and efficient assurance of the Retail Banking Services portfolio
- Effectively support, supervise and deliver assigned scope areas of the audit from Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting, and through to audit closure including administration of key audit stage-gates in the audit electronic workflow system
- Draft issues and agree factual accuracy and ratings with the Team Leader and the stakeholders, as well support the Team Leader in preparing simple, pragmatic and easy to read audit reporting, including audit reports and issue logs
- Create and develop independent and objective relationships within GA&A, the bank and externally to enable effective knowledge sharing and collaboration
**Other qualities you may possess include**
- Prior experience in an Internal Audit or Credit Risk Management (Line 1 or Line 2), focusing on Retail Banking
- Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the key inherent risks and the end-to-end control environment associated with Retail Banking services and products
- Internationally recognised risk, audit or relevant professional qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in building strong customer relationships based on credibility, rapport and trust
