This is a role within the Sydney-based Internal Audit (“IA”) group, which is focused on Risk based Technology audits and reviews at Singtel’s Australian operations, comprising Optus, NCS, its subsidiaries, associates and other Singtel Group entities.

The ‘Internal Audit Manager - Technology’ role is responsible for completing audits of IT, telecommunication network functions and projects to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. The role will be supporting the planning, execution and reporting of audits, including liaison with senior management of Optus and Singtel Group of companies on Internal Audit results.

We are seeking an experienced Technology Auditor to join our dynamic team. This position requires solid understanding of technology audit methodology, awareness of cyber security trends with strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

**Your day in the life of an Internal Audit Manager at Optus**
- Identify potential weaknesses in technology process and internal controls within Technology systems and processes. Effectively communicate the findings with Technical and Non-Technical stakeholders.
- Support the drafting of detailed audit reports focused on root causes and work with management to develop practical and value adding actions for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure and validate corrective actions are implemented and risk management strategies are effective.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in technology auditing, industry standards, and regulatory changes.
- Provide ongoing support for Technology related audit inquiries and work with management to address emerging risks and issues.
- Contribute and support the continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Internal Audit process and practices.

**Your skills to pay the bills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Technology auditing or risk management from Big 4 accounting firms or large multi-national companies.
- Strong knowledge of IT/telecommunication systems, Cyber security, and compliance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, PCI-DSS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports and interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), ISO 27001, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), Cloud, Agile (project management) or similar certifications preferred.
