We are currently seeking a Surveyor with experience within the civil construction industry, who enjoys the challenge of working outdoors and who will be responsible for the survey requirements of our South-West and North-West projects.

The successful applicant will report to and work closely with the Survey Manager in all aspects of surveying within the company, including engineering surveying, machine control and the development of 3D construction models; as well as work in a variety of rural and urban field environments.

**Your responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Assisting with the maintenance of GPS systems including hardware and software
- Project set-out
- Collecting and managing data
- Checking equipment used is calibrated and maintained
- As-built surveys and quantity calculations as required
- Existing surface/Detail surveys
- Drone and powerline surveys
- Keeping documentation of surveying activities
- Coordinating with Project Engineers and Foreman
- Assist the Survey Manager and the Survey team where required

**To be successful you must have**:

- Current NSW driver’s licence
- WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- Previous experience in Surveying in the civil construction industry
- Certificate IV in Surveying (Diploma in Surveying preferred). If you have completed your Certificate IV in Surveying, you must be enrolled in or looking to enroll in Diploma in Surveying
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames
- Ability to work in a team environment and work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills
- Attention to detail

**Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded**:

- Engineering design software (preferably 12D)
- Trimble Total Stations
- Topcon and Trimble GPS hardware and software
- Mechanical and/or electrical (12v) aptitude
