What an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our dynamic team, overseeing with a group of other Grade 3 and 4 clinicians. You will be also be an integral part of the Monash Health, Nutrition and Dietetics Senior Dietitian team. You will be based at the Kingston Centre and provide expertise and clinical leadership. This is a great opportunity broadening career in rehabilitation and aged care services.
This may suit an aspiring Grade 3 clinician with relevant experience to gain exposure and experience at a Grade 4 level.
**A Day in the Life**
In this respected, Senior Dietitian position, you will be an inspiring leader that utilises your expert clinical knowledge to:
- Champion the Dietetic profile and importance of nutrition care at Kingston Centre and relevant off campus residential care units
- Establish strong relationships with Senior Medical, Nursing and Allied Health to optimise nutrition care for our patients
- Empower the team to drive research and impactful quality improvement projects
- Mentor Grade 1, 2 and 3 Dietitians working in the department to achieve equitable patient-centred care
- Collaborate with the leadership team to foster a positive team culture that thrives on growth, learning and accountability
- Support Manager to ensure that there is financial responsibility and accountability across the functions under the position’s control and develop and implement financial strategies that will ensure budgetary targets and key performance indicators are met.
**What you bring**:
- You have demonstrated experienced in the delivery of clinical education and clinical supervision
- You enjoy developing others, are highly organised and a clear and warm communicator.
- You lead by example, thrive in a fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based dietetic interventions
- You have proven leadership experience that fosters a culture teamwork and continuous learning and development
- You are an innovative and dynamic leader in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. Leading capability development will be an area that will excite you.
- Due to your proven leadership experience, you will bring knowledge of evidence translation and innovation to ensure Monash Health continues meet needs of our community now and in the future.
**What you need**:
- Relevant original or certified copies of qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Well consolidated clinical experience in bed-based services (minimum 10 years).
- Proven experience leading a team of allied health professionals in clinical research / quality improvement
- Hold or are working towards post graduate qualifications
- Eligibility for full membership as a Dietitian of Dietitians Australia and Accredited Practising APD membership
- Current Drivers Licence
