KB Food Co has a reputation for being consumer focused, innovative and fast moving with a comprehensive selection of fresh and frozen seafood.

An opportunity has become available for motivated Quality Control Assistant to join our Fish Processing Department in Canning Vale, on a fulltime basis. This very important role will ensure all the critical control points, and quality control are monitored during production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Daily Pre - Op checks
- Collect retention samples for product assessments
- Air temperatures checks to ensure chillers and freezer temperatures are compliant.
- Review production records and communicated any issues
- Record all findings and records systematically for traceability
- Ensure appropriate corrective action are taken in a timely manner, for CCP’s
- Complete black bag audits

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**:
**. **Experience in a similar role

**. **HACCP or Food Safety Training
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Intermediate level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated self-management skills, time management, multi-tasking and organising skills
- Be adaptable, flexible and resilient with the ability to contribute
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a wet cold environment with seafood.

Experience in the food industry, such as seafood, meat, or poultry, or in food safety inspection (Highly Considered)

Successful applicants will need to provide a minimum of 2 current references, a current Police Clearance Certificate, and attend a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol testing.
