**About the **Grade 4 Electronic Tracking Instrument Technician**

The instrument technician Grade 4 will be required to work alongside a team dedicated to implementing our new electronic tracking system for Reusable Medical Device (RMD), under the guidance of the Project officer, Grade 5 supervisor and NUM of CSSD. This will be introduced over all campuses.

You will be responsible for ensuring instrument marking,and program building, is complete as per requirement. This will include working and supporting other CSSD staff, across both campuses

**About the role**
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) in accordance with AS/NZS4187-2014 guidelines.
- Current knowledge and expertise in Electronic Tracking System of Reusable Devices process.
- Understanding and knowledge of instrument marking desirable not essential
- Be familiar with Policy related to reporting staff injuries.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and uphold our values, and diversity and inclusion commitments
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues and members of the public. Escalate concerns regarding safety, quality and risk to the appropriate staff member, if unable to rectify yourself

**About you**
- A commitment to Austin Health values.
- Hold a Cert IV in sterilization Services or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years, in Sterilizing services in a hospital setting
- Previous knowledge and experience in Electronic Instrument tracking
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all Austin Health teams
- Open and effective communication and engagement
- To be able to work in a team environment.
- Proven ability to work independently
- Flexible in rotational shifts
