**Who we are**
The Biosecurity Analytics Centre (BAC) is a centre of excellence for data analytics. The BAC provides a full-stack analytics service for the department, delivering advanced analytics products and cleansed high-quality data available for use by both internal and external teams. The BAC develops products that transform raw data into information and usable intelligence, improving the department’s risk identification and management and decision-making capabilities.

**The Jobs**
Depending upon the role, your duties may include all or some of the following:

- Assisting in the delivery of biosecurity data and STEPS related projects.
- Assisting in project planning, including stakeholder engagement, business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Developing and delivering project artefacts including project plans, business cases and other support documents as needed.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with business partners based on trust, where you understand and anticipate their needs.
- Identifying and delivering key opportunities and deliverables for biosecurity data and STEPS.
- Assisting in the effective coordination and management of project risks and benefits.
- Bringing a flexible and responsive approach to project delivery.
- Assisting in developing and delivering briefing materials.

**Please note** that this recruitment process will initially be used to fill **two ongoing vacancies** in the section and that the roles may be able to be performed from any of the locations listed on the job description. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.

**What we are looking for**
**Knowledge and experience**
The successful applicants will ideally have:

- experience in project management, business change management and implementation, including planning, objective setting, timeline management and risk identification and mitigation
- experience in engaging with stakeholders and building strong working relationships to influence and achieve business outcomes
- experience in drafting and maintaining project artefacts
- high level writing skills with demonstrated experience delivering a range of written products including project documentation and briefings for senior executives
- an understanding of technologies and tools used in data analysis and reporting and/or robotic process automation (highly regarded but not mandatory).
