**About VIP support**

We are an NDIS service provider based in Melbourne. We focus on providing support for clients who need a personal touch rather than just punching the clock. Our focus in on those who just need that little bit extra to engage with or move around the community.

Most of our clients are matched long term with regular service on an agreed schedule. They are adult clients without high-risk conditions. We aim to improve their quality of life and engagement with community and to work towards as close as they can get to independence in their daily lives.

**About the opportunity**:Vacancy - JR-230224FZ

Located in the North Melbourne area our client is in need of support in the home with general domestic duties and assistance with small children. Ideally suited to a local student or mother for short regular shifts. We’re looking for someone reliable and personable who is patient with strong communication skills.

**General duties and responsibilities** (This and other opportunities)
- Assisting participants with everyday life tasks: e.g. Shopping, Meal preparation, Vacuuming, hanging laundry, travel to attend medical appointments.
- Strong verbal communication skills with clear speech and a kind manner
- Supporting participants' community involvement and networking opportunities such as: engaging in their leisure or sports activities, visiting social interest clubs or attending courses.

**Requirements**:

- Current driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Calm & encouraging demeanour.
- Able to work independently or collaborate with other caregivers
- Willingness to listen and communicate patiently
- A Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Manual handling training (or willing to obtain)
- Full Covid 19 Vaccination (Official certificate required)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: $26.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Flexible hours
- Monday to Friday
- Shift work

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
