**TAFE SA** is South Australia’s largest vocational education and training (VET) provider, winner of the Large Training Provider of the Year for two years running, and now the third largest TAFE provider in Australia. It is also a registered higher education provider and has had more than one million students study with it since being established in 1971. Each year they deliver training at over 300 locations right across South Australia. Reporting to the Senior Director Finance and leading a team of 19, the Director of Financial Accounting, Reporting and Compliance is responsible for leading and managing all elements of the financial control framework, including financial transaction processing and accounting, treasury, tax compliance, external financial reporting, debt management, asset management and internal financial controls. Additionally, you will also be responsible for leading major financial projects and providing technical expertise and make recommendations on complex finance matters. Leading a debtors management framework, you will review current processes and ensure a robust framework is in place to strengthen internal controls to deliver best practice across the organisation.
CA/CPA qualified, you will have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of technical financial accounting and internal financial control and assurance, with expert knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, and knowledge of government legislative frameworks being an advantage. Project management skills delivering operational and financial improvements within a highly complex environment, coupled with strong financial acumen is essential. As a natural and agile influencer across various stakeholders, you will have proven leadership experience and change management skills with results in developing high performing teams.
