**Drive culture, support operational excellence, and help shape the future of our team.**
At **Original Engine Co (OEC)**, we believe that great people drive great performance — and we're looking for a passionate **HR Coordinator** to help us bring that to life every day.
As **back-to-back winners of Best Automotive Business at the VACC Automotive Industry Awards**, OEC is a recognised leader in sustainable, high-quality engine remanufacturing. Our reputation is built on innovation, reliability, and a strong commitment to people and process.
This is a rare opportunity to step into and pioneer a hands-on, standalone HR role, reporting directly to senior management. You’ll work across the full employee lifecycle, with the autonomy and ownership to deliver people-first initiatives that support both culture and compliance.
If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to make a difference in a fast-paced, values-led environment — we want to hear from you.
**What You’ll Do**
- Deliver a seamless employee experience across recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, engagement, and offboarding
- Manage all HR administration — including maintaining employee records, updating policies, and ensuring compliance with legislation
- Support claims and submissions for government apprenticeship incentives and training requirements
- Coordinate OH&S training and compliance programs, and maintain documentation for audits and safety reviews
- Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers on policies, procedures, and people-related matters
- Monitor and maintain training records and employee certifications.
- Assist with workplace investigations, employee relations, and policy implementation
- Liaise with production and administration teams to support quality and operational documentation
**What You Bring**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 2-3 years’ experience in a HR support or generalist role, ideally within a manufacturing or trade-based environment
- Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation, NES, and Modern Awards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — professional, discreet, and approachable
- Confidence in drafting HR documentation, contracts, and internal policies
- Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to support across departments
- Full Australian working rights
**What You’ll Get**
- Competitive salary package
- A values-driven, close-knit team environment
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership
- The chance to help shape the employee experience at a growing, purpose-driven company
Help Drive the Future of OEC. This is more than just an HR role — it’s your opportunity to lead with purpose and help build a culture of excellence from the inside out.
