
Disability Support Worker

Support worker position available to work in the Mornington Peninsula and South Eastern suburbs. We are a NDIS Registered Provider looking for reliable and compassionate support workers to join our growing organisation. You are responsible for ensuring that collaborative, high quality, participant focused support services are provided to all Participants. You will be joining a highly supportive company that values you, with access to support from our team leader and Wellbeing program.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Provide participant directed support services as prescribed by the care plan.
- Assist Just Be You participants to maintain an independent lifestyle
- Ensure participants wellbeing is considered at all times
- Assist the participant with general domestic duties as prescribed in the participants care plan
- Assist the participant where required / directed with food preparation and cooking of meals
- Ensure participant home is hygienic and a safe environment that supports the promotion of independence
- Assist the participant to actively participate in the maintenance of their own independence
- Assist participant with emotional, cultural and spiritual needs
- Support the participant interests and rights to actively participate in the community and make choices suitable to their needs
- Record progressive case notes at the end of each shift
This is a casual & flexible role (minimum 10 hours) and requires:
- Current CPR/First Aid
- NDIS Workers Screening
- Drivers licence/ Car & Car Insurance
- Authorisation to work in Australia
- NDIS Workers Orientation
- Relevant Qualifications
- Previous experience in mental health of a community related role is desirable
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $34.55 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
Supplementary Pay:
- Penalty rates
Work Location: In person
