**What’s on Offer**
The opportunity to work for a world leading independent organisation for children. You will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end accounts payable transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This requires extensive liaison with all staff in the Melbourne Office (including Social Enterprises) and within State Offices to ensure high levels of customer service are provided and maintained. This role is also responsible for identifying and analysing areas for process improvement and assisting in implementing changes to ensure the team can work as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Reporting to the Manager of Payroll, Transaction & Treasury Accounting, this role also works closely with other members of the Finance and Support Services team to achieve organisational objectives.
**Position Description**
- End-to-end accounts payable, including but not limited to:
- Supplier maintenance i.e. verification of new suppliers, and major supplier reconciliations
- Invoice processing and matching with purchase orders
- Appropriate ageing analysis and follow up
- Generate weekly payment runs
- Petty cash i.e. re-imbursement/monitoring for all Australian operations, and perform monthly reconciliation with appropriate analysis
- Credit card maintenance including:
- Process employee reimbursements
- Monitor ticketing system to ensure accounts payable queries are resolved
- Identify and assist with Accounts Payable process improvement initiatives
- Perform ad hoc tasks as allocated
- Experience in high-volume data entry and administration with proven accuracy
- Proven ability to identify areas of manual processing for process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated experience dealing with financial and numerical data
- Strong ability to analyse issues and problem solve
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines
- High level of attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills with both internal and external stakeholders
