Since 1971, Genneral Staircase has been a leader in the staircase building industry. Genneral Staircase provides its clients with excellence in design, manufacturing and installation of high-quality stairs and balustrades.

Given current market growth, Genneral Staircase is seeking a Timber Trades Assistant to join our highly dynamic team.

This position reports to the Timber Production Manager.

The Role:

- Assist the tradespersons in the performance of their duties
- Measuring & cutting timber
- Assemble timber components & preparing surfaces

Essential Requirements:

- Ability to work unsupervised (essential)
- Maintain effective communications with team members & members of other departments
- Excellent work ethic - honesty, reliability and punctuality
- Attention to a very high level of detail
- Positive "win-win" attitude and ability to work in a team or autonomously
- Drivers license and own transport (preferred but not essential)
- Be able to lift up to 25kg

Qualifications & Skill:

- No formal qualification is required for this role however previous experience in timber manufacturing or school wood shop would be an advantage
