Depot Operations Team Member

We are looking for motivated and well organised individuals to join our existing team with duties to include loading and unloading trailers and trucks, sorting freight and assisting with load allocations, preparation of outgoing freight, manifesting, preparation of paperwork and bookings. WHAT YOU NEED: - Current Forklift Licence with experience loading and unloading not just regular sized pallets, but oversized, fragile and awkward shaped freight. Also required to conduct pre-start checks on forklifts and other equipment within the logistics environment - Ability to use handheld scanners, learn manifesting and compile paperwork - Be a team player, have good communication skills and be willing to work in a team - Have a reasonable fitness level to perform this busy role - Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail. Reasonable literacy and numeracy skills also required. - Excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude and approach - Have a strong understanding of WHS in a busy transport workplace and can follow safety protocols, procedures and policies - Understand Chain of Responsibility and can follow and implement required safety standards to the highest level - Able and willing to comply with not only our Company Policies, but the policies of our partners and carriers - Be able to pass a National Police Check and random Drug & Alcohol testing HR or larger Drivers Licence is also desirable. Training and education is provided and all staff have access to operations manuals (containing instructions) and senior staff members.
