**About the Role**

This role is responsible for initiatives and processes to ensure icare’s customers receive safe, effective and reliable healthcare and rehabilitation services across all schemes. As a member of the Health & Rehabilitation Outcomes Team this role focusses on monitoring and managing providers to promote better recovery and return to work outcomes.

**Duties**

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a **Health and Rehabilitation Outcomes Specialist** you will:

- Monitor, manage and improve icare’s processes to protect the safety of persons receiving healthcare services across icare’s schemes.
- Support teams in the ongoing monitoring and delivery of actions required to deliver quality services, improved healthcare and return to work outcomes for the people we serve.
- Monitor and prepare responses to known risks, issues and incidents related to healthcare practitioners and rehabilitation providers.
- Research and advise on specific strategies and processes aimed to ensure healthcare providers deliver safe, effective and reliable healthcare services.
- Assist with implementing and embedding processes and controls which assist with ensuring safe, effective and reliable services are provided within the schemes.
- Collaborate closely across relevant icare and its claims service providers to deliver efficient and aligned initiatives of continuous quality and outcome improvement.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in health science or related field, or equivalent an advantage (Desirable)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex and nuanced environment.
- Confident presenting complex issues to facilitate problem solving and decision making.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and healthcare practitioners
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in personal injury insurance claims, injury management or healthcare provider role
