**Expressions of Interest Judicial Registrar - Commercial Division**

**(Five-year fixed term appointment)**
- Chief Judge Amanda Chambers seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment as a Judicial Registrar of the County Court of Victoria.
- Judicial Registrars are members of the Court, appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Attorney-General. All expressions of interest are treated confidentially.

**Position**
- The position available is in the County Court's Commercial Division.
- The appointee will be responsible for the case management of matters in the Commercial Division. This will involve:

- Conducting judicial resolution conferences, trial assessments and directions hearings.
- Managing the self-represented litigants' program.
- Making procedural orders, including orders by consent.
- The appointee will also assist with procedural reform and work collaboratively with the Commercial Registry to ensure that its systems of work are efficient and effective.
- The position requires a legally qualified individual (admitted for not less than five years) who has extensive experience in the practice of commercial law as well as an in-depth understanding of court processes and procedures. It also requires superior oral and written communication skills and an ability to make timely decisions according to law.
- The position is based in Melbourne. While the position is full-time, appointments on a part-time or work-share basis will be considered.
