**About the role**:
The full-time, fixed-term 4 month contract role of the Patient Transport Officer works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that clients are transported in a safe and timely manner to and from required venues; that items are couriered as required; general administrative duties.

**Essence of the role**:

- Safe and timely transport of clients to and from required venues
- Couriering resident related items as required
- Washing and cleaning including general maintenance of Patient Transport vehicles ,packaged and pool motor vehicles and associated items

***Essential/Mandatory Criteria**:

- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C-Car licence) and safe driving record. Prepared to undertake the Driver Assessment Test if required
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Health and/or Aged Care Sectors, with experience in transporting frail, aged and / or vulnerable people desirable but not essential
- Presents professionally and takes pride in personal appearance
- Senior First Aid Certificate desirable
- Confident at using computers, including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, using relevant software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Customer service focus.
