**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.
**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**:
- Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
- Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, feeding, meal preparation, etc.
- Transporting customers to & from services or activities (e.g., doctor's appointments, etc.)
- Promoting independent decision making
- Work within the principles of person-centred practice
**ABOUT YOU**
You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring customers achieve their goals and aspirations.
**Requirements**:
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
- Experience working with adults with complex support needs and mental health (schizophrenia, autism, etc.)
- Driven, energetic, committed & patient
- Must be compassionate
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility with shifts (hours may be extended due to participant's appointments)
- Ongoing permanent shifts available for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (9am-11am)
- Additional hours will become available
**WHAT YOU NEED**:
- Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
- NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)

- Prairiewood, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver's Licence and Vehicle (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
