Production Managers take charge of their Site and consistently meet and exceed their performance standards. Production Managers inspire their teams to provide the best quality doughnuts possible.

Production Managers maximise their team’s performance by ensuring they participate in appropriate learning & development activities to contribute to the success of the Site and grow as individuals.

Production Managers coach and mentor their Assistant Site Managers and Team Leaders to create a fun and authentic workplace focused on delivering delicious doughnuts while ensuring the Site continues to operate to its best when they are absent.

Production Managers lead by example and manage their Site ‘as if it was your own business’.

**The Role**

Every day at Krispy Kreme presents different challenges and while you will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet them all, there are some tasks that will form the backbone of your work as a Production Manager:

- Carry out monthly Safety Walks/Audits and implement improvement.
- Ensure compliance to quality and audit standards including HACCP, Food Safety, and commercial partners and complete monthly action plans to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure labour budget is achieved by weekly review of planned labour against forecast production demand plan.
- Ensure the daily production schedule is planned to ensure that we optimise freshness, maximise quality and is in line with Krispy Kreme standards and procedures
- Ensure weekly rosters are published in a timely manner and are complying with the Krispy Kreme enterprise agreement and local legislation.
- Complete weekly reports as directed by the State Manufacturing Manager outlining facility performance on key measures
- Manage annual leave of self and the team respecting the business requirements.
- Be flexible to assume some responsibilities of your manager or your immediate reportees in their absence.
- In line with the Company mobile phone policy, be open to take occasional phone calls outside your work hours.
- Take accountability for implementing Daily Directional Setting (DDS) meetings with the team to review and enhance performance with a focus on continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost and well-being of the team.
- Hold monthly Management meetings and provide direction on monthly priorities and communicate KPI results.
- Responsible for the succession plan of the team within the facility.
- Conduct regular performance & development meetings for the 2IC and AMPs along with their annual Dreams & Goals sessions.
- Foster a culture of recognition and celebration.
- Be directly responsible for capability building of your management team through company training program and your guidance.
- Lead investigations and provide feedback on safety incidents, non-conformance and product quality related issues in line with Krispy Kreme policies and procedures
- Liaise with Engineering team to ensure facility and equipment is well maintained and that all Repairs & Maintenance requests are submitted in a timely manner
- Accountable for overall supervision of all the site-activities and resources with planning time horizon not less than one month.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and implementing Krispy Kreme standards and procedures well aligned with WHS requirements.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain on material shortages or vendor performance.
- Communicate with internal customers on day-to-day requirements.
- Collaborate with your Manufacturing Manager in external customer related
- Assume ad-hoc duties as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Krispy Kreme processes through providing feedback and insights into best practice.
