**Our **Opportunity**
We currently have a vacancy in our fab Youth team for a Youth Impact Facilitator and are looking for a passionate and experienced youth worker. The role requires someone who is energetic and creative in working with young people.
Youth Impact Facilitator’s are responsible for supporting a diverse range of young people to lead the charge on projects that are engaging, inclusive, develop skills and inspire young people. Key programs and projects include our Hub, Y Ballarat’s Youth Advisory Group, the Engage life skills project and our automotive focused reengagement program JumpStart.
In combination with ongoing initiatives, the Youth Impact Facilitator is a super creative role and allows for projects to be developed with young people in response to local needs, emerging concerns or themes. This role focuses on creating impact with young people via engaging, positive and socially connected initiatives.
The Youth Impact Facilitator is a key role in the Y Ballarat Youth team in driving the future and leading youth engagement projects that create real impact with and for young people in Ballarat and surrounding communities.
**Role**: Youth Impact Facilitator
**Job Type**: Fixed Term [12 hours] and Ongoing [15 hours] totaling 27 hours per week
**Start Date**: April
**Pay Grade**: Up to S/S 8 [$38.82 hour] + salary packaging
**Qualification**: Minimum Diploma plus experience or Bachelor Degree in Community Services, Youth Work, Education or similar

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a National Police Check and maintain a valid employment Working with Children Check whilst employed in this position.

- Minimum Diploma plus experience or Bachelor Degree in Youth Work or related field including Community Services, Education, Mental Health or Social Work
- Youth engagement experience and passion for working with a diverse range of young people and settings
- Excellent understanding of issues impacting youth, particularly vulnerable young people, local youth services, networking skills and the ability to advocate for young people and youth issues
- Stakeholder engagement and development skills
- Creativity in developing plans for program delivery and growth
- Energetic team player with the ability to support and mentor peers and volunteers, with excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially with young people
- Excellent administration skills including reporting, project management, time management and evaluation
- Solid knowledge, understanding and experience of child safety and safeguarding young people
- Knowledge of the Y Ballarat’s mission and programs
