**About the role**

Western Geotechnical and Laboratory Services are seeking an Automotive / Mechanical Trade Assistant to join their team in Welshpool, WA. In this role, you will provide key support to the automotive and mechanical services operations of the company, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

**What you'll be doing**
- Assisting automotive and mechanical trade professionals with a variety of tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Performing basic diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on vehicles and equipment
- Ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of tools, equipment, and the workshop environment
- Supporting the ordering and inventory management of parts, materials, and supplies
- Adhering to all relevant safety procedures and regulations
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external clients

**What we're looking for**
- Some experience in an automotive or mechanical trade environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
- A current driver's licence and your own reliable transportation
