As a Trade Assistant with WesTrac you will work alongside experienced Plant Mechanics, and Auto Electricians to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. You will be involved in; disassembly, cleaning and inspection of CAT equipment, movement/storage of plant and equipment, carrying out minor maintenance and repairs and other miscellaneous tasks.

These positions are a great entry point to a career in the heavy industry and will provide essential building blocks to undertake an apprenticeship with our leading inhouse RTO.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Mechanical aptitude & interest in the heavy industry
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork and communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to Safety and Quality Assurance
- Able to work competently unsupervised
- Positive, can-do attitude

**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience in a similar role in a mechanical industry
- Welding qualification, forklift ticket or experience will be highly regarded
- Scaffolding experience
