Depot Operations

We are looking for motivated and well organised individuals to join our existing team with duties to include loading and unloading trailers and trucks, sorting freight and assisting with load allocations, preparation of outgoing freight, manifesting, preparation of paperwork and bookings.

WHAT YOU NEED:

- Current Forklift Licence with experience loading and unloading not just regular sized pallets, but oversized, fragile and awkward shaped freight. Also required to conduct pre-start checks on forklifts and other equipment within the logistics environment
- Ability to use handheld scanners, learn manifesting and compile paperwork
- Be a team player, have good communication skills and be willing to work in a team
- Have a reasonable fitness level to perform this busy role
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail. Reasonable literacy and numeracy skills also required.
- Excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude and approach
- Have a strong understanding of WHS in a busy transport workplace and can follow safety protocols, procedures and policies
- Understand Chain of Responsibility and can follow and implement required safety standards to the highest level
- Able and willing to comply with not only our Company Policies, but the policies of our partners and carriers
- Be able to pass a National Police Check and random Drug & Alcohol testing

HR or larger Drivers Licence is also desirable. While previous experience in a similar role is definitely advantageous, we are happy to invest in the right person with training and more Renumeration can be discussed depending on applicants experience and skill level.

- This position requires the use of computers, mobile phone apps and handheld scanners for use in the depot and on the road. Training and education is provided and all staff have access to operations manuals (containing instructions) and senior staff members. With this in mind, do you feel you could use these devices as part of your day to day work?
- This position involves interaction not only with our team members but also with customers and the carriers we contract to. Do you believe you have above average customer service and communication skills?
- This position involves many different duties and requires high attention to detail and the willingness to work both alone and with the team to get things done. Are you capable of confidently working on your own and with the team?
