As our highly valued Teacher Director with our C&K Mooloolah team, you’ll nurture an inclusive, collaborative and supportive team culture where everyone can belong and grow.

Located on Gubbi Gubbi Country, Mooloolah Kindy have a Nature Kindy program once per week for each group who attend a 5 day fortnight. Children attend a morning in a natural environment where the goal is for the children to connect and engage with nature in the nearby creek during warmer months, and a winter site close by during cooler months, incorporating fire into our Nature Kindy program. As such, teachers with dedicated forest school training would be encouraged to apply. This position is for a six-month contract; with flexible options for two co-director / teachers or one full time teacher director.

At C&K Mooloolah Community Kindergarten we have two kindy groups. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days. This role has flexibility for either a part-time teacher director Monday, Tuesday, alternate Wednesdays, or part time teacher director for Thursday, Friday, alternate Wednesdays. You will be employed for 7.5 hours each day, with access to non-program time before and after the kindergarten program. Additional teacher and director non-contact time is available with 18 hours of Director non-contact, and 70 hours teaching non contact per year, pro rata of FTE.
- Group 1A: Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:30am to 2:30pm
- Group 1B: Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:30am to 2:30pm

**What you’ll bring**

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) or a Bachelor of Primary Teaching with an approved diploma-level qualification.
- First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
- Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (within three months or willing to obtain these).
