**About the Role**
Reporting to the Director - Responsible Investment, the primary objective of the role is to ensure the
ongoing integrity of the BetaShares suite of ethical investment products and to lead engagement with
investee companies on ESG issues.

**Role Responsibilities**
The Manager - Responsible Investment sits within the Portfolio Management Division of BetaShares
Capital Management.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Using a range of data sources to conduct negative and positive screening of eligible investee
companies of ethical and ESG thematic products to ensure business activities and ESG
characteristics are consistent with specific investment guidelines or mandates.
- Using a range of data and media sources to conduct ongoing monitoring of portfolios for
controversy and breaches of UN Global Compact conventions.
- Act as an advisor to the BetaShares Responsible Investment Committee, a body that is
funds
- Participate in ongoing stewardship activities including unilateral and collaborative
engagement with investee companies with a focus on the identification, measurement, and
documentation of outcomes.
- Periodic reporting and commentary relating to ESG issues impacting products and product
returns.
- Contribute to ethical and ESG themed product development.
- Work with internal stakeholders to produce high quality ESG research and marketing
- material.- Work with internal stakeholders to respond to information requests from clients, research
- houses and external stakeholders, e.g., UN PRI, RIAA, etc.- Provide support to marketing and sales activity including meetings with key client groups.
**Key skills and experience**
You have practical experience in Responsible Investment Policy implementation. You possess strong
critical thinking skills and are familiar with and comfortable working with ESG data. You have a
background in Responsible Investment and can demonstrate an understanding of the principles of
Responsible Investment and key trends.
